Pooja Kaushal

Co-Chief investment officer

Pooja Kaushal is a third year from Purcellville, VA, in the College of Arts & Sciences double majoring in Economics and Statistics, with a minor in Business. Previously, Kaushal served as a member of the Investment Board. Outside of SWS, she is involved in the Women in Economics, Phi Alpha Delta, and UVa Barbell. Last summer, she was an Analyst at Knife Capital, and this upcoming summer, she will be an Investment Banking Analyst at Matrix Capital Markets Group in their New York Office. In her free time, she enjoys music production, keeping up with fashion trends, playing poker with friends, and lifting at the gym.

Isabel mcdonald

Co-Chief investment officer

Isabel McDonald is a second year from Memphis, TN, in the College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in Economics with a minor in art. Previously, McDonald served as a member of the Investment Board. Outside of SWS, she is involved as the managing editor of the Virginia Undergraduate Business Review. This upcoming summer, McDonald will intern at Lazard as an Investment Banking Analyst in their New York office. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, art, and taking spin classes at Purvelo.

kendall freese

Co-Chief Research Officer

Kendall Freese is a third year from Brookline, MA, in the College of Arts & Sciences double majoring in Economics and Statistics. Previously, Freese served as a Research Associate in REITs, Senior Analyst in REITS, and Senior Analyst in Energy. Outside of SWS, she is involved in the AKPsi Business Fraternity, Virginia Consulting Group, Madison House Soccer Coach & Program Director, Delta Gamma Sorority, and the Virginia Real Estate Club. This upcoming summer, she will be at Barclays as an Investment Banking Analyst in their New York Office. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, reading, hiking, going on drives, and spending time with friends.

Janie Sanborn

CO-Chief global Officer

Janie Sanborn is a third year from Richmond, Virginia in the College of Arts & Sciences double majoring in Environmental Sciences and Global Sustainability with a minor in Economics. Previously, Sanborn served as a Senior Analyst and Analyst on the Global Macro Team, and Research Analyst for Energy. Last summer she interned in ONE Environmental as a Consulting Sustainability Intern and Coastal Studies Institute Research for research puposes. Outside of SWS, she is involved with the Student Council Sustainability Agency and Camp Kesem. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Emma Carpet is a third year from Newport Beach, CA, in the College of Arts & Sciences majoring in Economics, with a minor in real estate. Previously, Carpet served as a Senior Analyst on the Global Macro Team, Research team, and member of the Outreach team. Outside of SWS, she is a Resident Advisor, Food Assist, and IM volleyballl. Last summer, she was at ROTH Capital Partners as an Equity Analyst in their Newport Office. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and golf.

Abby Robinson

CO-Chief Development Officer

Abby Robinson is a third year from Richmond, VA, in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Economics. Previously, Robinson served as Research Analyst in Healthcare and Senior Analyst in Energy. Outside of SWS, she is involved in Alpha Kappa Psi. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, reading, and playing tennis.

Hope Kistulinec

CO-Chief Development Officer

Hope Kistulinec is a second year from Atlanta, GA, in the College of Arts & Sciences majoring in Economics. Previously, Kistulinec served as an Associate and Analyst on the Global Macro Team. Outside of SWS, she is involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma, Vice President of Operations in Virginia Entrepreneurship Organization, and part of Best Buddies. This upcoming summer, she will be at Homrich Berg as a Summer Investment Analyst in their Atlanta Office. In her free time, she enjoys running and painting.

Chief marketing officer

Leyla Ustun is a second year from Fairfax, VA, in the McIntire School of Commerce majoring in Commerce, concentrating in Marketing. Previously, Ustun served as a Marketing Committee Member and a Global Macroeconomics Analyst. Outside of SWS, she is the director of Scholastic Development for Business Ethics Society, literacy tutor with Madison House, a Net Impact Analyst, and a barista at Corner Juice. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, baking, walking her dogs, watching horror movies, having game nights, and hiking.

Ruby garrison

Ruby Garrison is a second year from Virginia Beach, VA, in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy school with a minor in Business. Previously, Garrison served as a Senior Analyst on the Global Macro Team and an analyst as well. Outside of SWS, she is part of the Women's Club Soccer, Special Olympics, TOPSoccer, and PAD Pre-Law Fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, playing pickleball, and listening to true crime podcasts.

Mariel dinatale

Mariel DiNatale is a third-year from West Chester, PA, in the McIntire School of Commerce majoring in Commerce with concentrations in Finance, with a Global Commerce track, and a minor in Politics. Previously, DiNatale served as Analyst and Senior Analyst on the Research Team, Investment Board, and Community Outreach Committee. Outside of SWS, she is the Vice President of Finance in Kappa Delta.This upcoming summer, DiNatale will intern at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as a Summer Analyst in their New York office. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, reading, traveling, and hiking.

Josie Nakatani

Josie Nakatani is a second year from New York, NY, in the College of Arts & Sciences double majoring in Psychology and Spanish with a minor in Business. Previously, Nakatani served as a research analyst. Outside of SWS, she is part of Enactus and interning at Moms Clean Airforces. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends.
